Ghorepani Ghandruk Trekking is definitely a swift escapade for few days around picturesque village to capture glimpse of rich culture walking through beautiful sub-tropical alpine rhododendron forest track aiming for one of earth finest vantage – Poon Hill – to observe stunning sunrise & sunset and vista of plus 5000m peaks including world seventh, eighth & tenth highest – Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Manaslu (8163m) and Mt. Annapurna (8091m) respectively. Ghorepani Trekking is excellent chance to encounter local people and splendid nature in less than a week with the pleasant walk on trails of mountain backdrop through beautiful village and the tempting landscapes – so elegant, that it will knock to the photographer side of you. You just could not resist yourself immersing into it.
This short trek to Ghorepani Ghandruk starts with an hour drive from City of Lake – Pokhara following Beni-Baglung highway until Nayapul from where we begin our walk to Birethanti continuing to Hille passing through picturesque green farmlands and ever flowing waterfalls and fresh scent of rhododendron forest (if it’s March-May Spring season). Next morning it’s little challenge to walk approx. three thousand stone stairs to reach Ulleri village but the effort is rewarding with view of peak shaped like tail of fish – Mt. Machhapuchere (6997m) on every footsteps and we continue our walk through forest towards Ghorepani which itself is a fine village serving mountain views and sight of local Pun Magar tribe. The major attraction of Ghorepani Trek is forty five minute sunrise hike to Poon Hill (3210m) from Ghorepani to witness the breathtaking panorama of more than twenty different peaks (of course if weather permits) and sight of rising sun atop of these Himalayan range will leave you speechless. We will hang around for a while capture all these memories in camera before we approach towards beautiful Ghandruk village where we will visit Traditional Gurung Museum and spend our last night watching Mt. Fishtail and Annapurna South from room window and complete our short journey of Himalayas.

Standard itinerary and route plan is typically designed considering the average level of fitness of travelers and level of altitude gain on the trek (and multiple other factors) which can be modified as per the interest, time and budget plan of travelers. There is always a room for customization of the given standard itinerary, if it does not meet your way of interest and then please pass your opinion. You may want to stay in Kathmandu by yourself or maybe do sightseeing around by yourself; we will give you more information to do it by yourself if you ask us. We always like to hear what you have to say. We are always happy to assist your valuable travel holidays in your manner with the best information that suits your way of travelling. We, ourselves feel that the group size of maximum 16 pax is an ideal size to run the trip. However, we have also arranged the plan for large students groups, employee groups and able to organize such trip for groups upon request.
