Manaslu Base Camp Trekking is one of the rewarding adventures on the foothills of world eighth highest mountain supplying an excellent walking through authentic remote villages learning the typical lifestyle of the people and observing the stunning view of Mt. Manaslu (8163m) and several other snow-capped peaks.
Manaslu Trekking Route is no wonder, one of the best trekking trails of Nepal and well-liked by travelers since it was opened for exploration in 1992. With the development of the roadways on the both end of trekking trails, Manaslu trek became one of the popular restricted area trekking routes of Nepal and attracts thousands of travelers every year to witness the grandeur of nature and mountains and people and culture.
Trekking to Manaslu Base Camp and Larkya La Pass starts with scenic countryside drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar and ascends the Budi Gandaki valley through lush vegetation, mix forest, and terrace fields encountering small villages of Magar and Gurung tribes. We dip into the natural hot-spring at “Tatopani” before we enter the restricted area of Manaslu region at Jagat. We cross many suspension bridges and walk through varied landscapes and local villages visiting old ancient Buddhist monasteries.
On reaching Sama Gaon, we make a day trip to Manaslu Base Camp to experience the little thrill of high altitude and also acclimatize ourselves for the adventurous Larkya La Pass ahead of us. The view of the mountains will be all along with us until the Larkya Pass and slowly starts to fade as we descend towards Bhimtang and Dharapani to meet the trails of popular Annapurna Circuit Trails. From Dharapani, we take a local jeep drive to Bhulbhule for overnight and drive to Kathmandu on next day saying goodbye to the Himalayas for until next time.

Rating:
It was really a wonderful journey into the beautiful remote nature and people. We are very glad to say that we really felt the touch of world class adventure and service and thanks to Om (guide) and Shyam (porter) for this trip successful. While the trekking got into little tense when we felt some symptoms of mountain sickness but Om was there to assist and make things easier which he did indeed by supplying garlic soup, hot drinks and medicines he had got. And there is good communication to Kathmandu Office about the situation. After a day rest, it was all OKAY and we successfully complete the trip. Special Thanks to Milan and Om for making this trip enjoyable and memorable.
