Milke Danda Trekking, often recognized as Rhododendron Trekking is popular among nature lovers because of its amazing gallery of colorful flowers reaching up to 3124m/10249 ft. and witness the stunning range of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) and Mt. Makalu (8463m).
Milke Danda Trek starts from Basantapur (Terathum district) and walk passes sub-tropical and alpine forest ridge — which divides two beautiful valley i.e. Arun Valley and Tamur Valley — covered with wide variety of rhododendron (30 species) and orchid (29 species) flowers and rare vegetation to supply the grand view of eastern Himalayas of Nepal.
Locally known as “Laligurans” or “Gurans” — Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal and can be found in altitude of 1200m-3600m above sea level. It holds significant importance to all Nepalese due to its several uses and traditional beliefs. Milke Danda is famous as “Rhododendron Capital of Nepal”.
Trekking to Milke Danda supply an observation to different colors of Gurans (mixed pink, red, white, purple, yellow, orange…) as elevation changes throughout the journey and best recommended during spring time (March-May).

Room to Customize
Standard itinerary and route plans are typically designed considering the average level of fitness of travelers and level of altitude gain on the trek (and multiple other factors) which can be modified as per the interest, time and budget plan of travelers.
There is always a room for customization of the given standard itinerary if it does not meet your way of interest and then please pass your opinion. You may want to stay in Kathmandu by yourself or maybe do sightseeing around by yourself; we will give you more information to do it by yourself if you ask us.

We, ourselves feel that the group size of maximum 12 pax is an ideal size to run the trip. However, we have also arranged the plan for large students groups, employee groups and able to organize such trip for groups upon request.
